Overboard

I pushed you overboard,
Left you stranded in the waves,
But they washed you on the shore
To be found and to be saved.
And there where the water meets
Your feet upon the sand,
A beauty with brown eyes
Lended you a helping hand.
She took you in and made you well,
Kept you warm in her bed.
But all you could dream about was
Me swimming in your head.
And when you woke the next day,
You found your way back to the shore,
Searching for my lonesome boat,
Coming back, wanting more.
